MALE OR FEMALE???DOES IT REALLY MATTER??

There’s long been a debate as to whether or not female professors are treated differently,
by their students, than male professors.

do you prefer this??

or

this??

Nonetheless, it's clear that men and women have a different teaching experience in the classroom.
At the college level, male professors are the norm and because of this male professors who act as society expects them to
are seen as competent and as an authority figure.
On the other hand,
 female professors who act “feminine”
are seen as less knowledgeable;
however, if a female professor violates society’s expectations of
what she is suppose to act like
then that professor is unlikeable and seen as less nurturing.
So what’s a female professor to do?
Not only do female professors have to be professional and knowledgeable,
but students also expect them to be nurturing, understanding, and more supportive. Unfortunately,
that means students expect female professors
to excuse a student’s lack of responsibility in class.
It also means that a student who is failing the class expects
the female professor to give him/her a “break”
and if the professors says no then she is a “bad” professor and immediately becomes unlikable.
what should we do???
this is the world that we live in..right???
